Anna Jacobs is a qualified play therapist, creative arts therapist and counsellor who is passionate about the needs of bereaved children and young people. She has been supporting bereaved children and their families for more than twenty-five years, and has been a therapist and counsellor for more than thirty-five years.
Anna has supported children and families with many different types of loss, including serious illness, divorce and separation, sudden loss, and extreme forms of bereavement as well as the losses experienced within the care system. She has carried out training with social care, school and health care staff, as well as foster and adoptive carers.
Anna’s vision has always been that every child will have access to excellent local bereavement services and that every professional and family can understand the needs of children who have experienced loss.
